1. Who we are
Devi is built and operated by Vera Level Apps Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). We make the Devi app, a cycle, pregnancy and postpartum companion for South Asian women. Our contact email is hello@devi.care.
2. What data we collect
Health data you enter in the app: Period dates, cycle length, symptoms, mood, pregnancy details, postpartum notes. This data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. It does not leave your phone unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Anonymous analytics: We may collect anonymised, non-identifiable usage data (e.g. which features are used, app crash reports) through standard analytics tools. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
Email address (optional): If you sign up for our newsletter or launch notifications on our website, we collect your email address solely to send you that communication.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number or government ID
- We do not require account creation to use the app
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your contacts, camera or microphone unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature
- We do not sell data to advertisers or data brokers
4. How your data is stored
All personal health data entered in the Devi app is stored on your device using local storage. We do not operate servers that hold your health information. When you delete the app, your data is deleted with it. You can also clear all data from within the app at any time in Settings.
5. Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the app and website:
- Analytics: We may use anonymised crash and usage analytics (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to improve the app. No personal health data is shared with these services.
- Payment processing: In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not see or store your payment information.
- Email: If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is stored with our email service provider and used only to send you Devi communications.
6. Children's privacy
Devi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Since your health data lives on your device, you control it directly. For any other data we hold (such as an email address), contact us at hello@devi.care and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you through the app. Continued use of Devi after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
